ABSTRACT

Thyroiditis comprises a heterogeneous group of inflammatory disorders of the thyroid gland with varied etiologies, clinical presentations, and prognoses. Conventional management focuses primarily on biochemical evaluation, imaging, and symptomatic or hormone-replacement therapy, often overlooking the individual constitutional susceptibility of the patient. Homoeopathy adopts a holistic and individualized approach based on the totality of symptoms.
This article explores the clinical utility of Knerr’s Repertory of Hering’s Guiding Symptoms in the management of thyroiditis. As a concordance repertory, Knerr preserves original proving symptoms, allowing precise correlation between pathological expressions and Materia Medica. Relevant rubrics related to thyroid and glandular affections have been compiled and thematically categorized to facilitate clinical application. The study highlights the relevance of Knerr’s repertory as a reference and confirmatory tool in individualized homoeopathic management of chronic glandular disorders such as thyroiditis.
